Located downtown within sight of I-4, the Bob Carr is Orlandos
venue for touring Broadway shows and other high-ticket, high-attendance
performing arts events.
The ultra modern 2,500-seat theater hosts the Broadway Across America Series, presenting a season of six or seven shows for runs ranging from one week to a month. These are either touring companies of current or recent Broadway hits, or revivals showcasing a star you’ve probably heard of. It’s mostly “feel-good” musicals, but the occasional straight play is also presented. Tickets for this series range from $40 to $70.
The Bob Carr is the venue of choice for local groups like the Orlando Opera and Orlando Ballet, described below, as well as one-night stands by comedians like George Carlin, magicians like David Copperfield, and the usual mix of pop and rock concerts.
