Location: From I-4 Exit 101A, drive west on SR 46 3.2 miles, turn left onto Lake Markham Road. Park is less than a mile on left
This Seminole County park offers cut-rate tennis and racquetball, along with four soccer fields. Tennis courts are $2 an hour before 5:00 p.m. and $4 per hour thereafter; racquetball courts are $4 an hour at all times; soccer fields go for $10 an hour before 5 p.m. and $20 per hour thereafter. Use of the facilities is open to all, even to tourists, but you must call for reservations.
Otherwise, the park offers picnicking, a jogging trail, and an intricate network of boardwalks that take you through the woods and across the swampy fringes of Sylvan Lake, where you can sit in a spacious gazebo and bird watch or just while away the time. A small dock offers fishing or a place to launch your own canoe or other non-motorized boat.
