Orlando's not a one-mouse town and this is the site that proves it! |
Little Econ Greenway Admission: Free Five miles of paved path wind alongside the Little Econlockhatchee River offering a smooth ride for cyclists, skaters, and hikers alike. Ospreys and red-tailed hawks, as well as alligators can be sighted here and a special garden has been planted to attract butterflies. You can enter the trail at Colonial and Central Park Avenue on the west and hike to the eastern end, in Jay Blanchard Park, where a YMCA branch offers a smoothies bar to slake your thirst. Tell them you’d like to be a guest and they will give you a day’s free access to their well-equipped gym and outdoor pool. Plans are on the boards to extend the trail in each direction to create a ten-mile path that will link with other extensive trail networks. Didn't find what you were looking for? Try a Google search.
