Part of a nationwide chain, Vans Skatepark in Orlando is the second largest indoor skateboard facility in the world. This is the place to come to practice your skateboarding and extreme skating skills on a bewildering array of ramps, jumps, and chutes, ranging from beginner to professional level. An elevated walkway affords easy viewing and makes a visit to Vans a fun excursion even for those who would never think of attempting the wild stunts going on below.

Sessions last two hours, with the more expensive ones on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. For an avid skateboarder, an annual membership will pay for itself fairly quickly. Safety gear is mandatory and if you don’t have your own you can rent helmet, elbow, and knee pads for $5 a session. You can also rent a skateboard for $5.

Nearby: Fun Spot, Universal Orlando, Wet ’n Wild.
