Do It! - Skating & Skateboarding - Ice Den

Orlando and the surrounding suburban areas offer a good selection of roller skating and skateboarding venues. You can even go ice skating when you tire of the heat and humidity! With the exception of Vans Skatepark, which pretty much goes full-throttle all the time, they have patchwork schedules. It’s best to call ahead or check schedules on the web sites given below.

Ice Den
8701 Maitland Summit Boulevard, Orlando 32810
(407) 916-2550
www.rdvsportsplex.com

Cost: $6 to $8 depending on venue and time
Hours: Vary by day
Location: From I-4 Exit 90 go west on Maitland Boulevard about a mile to Maitland Summit on your right

Located in a sprawling modern fitness complex on the north end of Orlando, the Ice Den is a compact ice skating rink with two-hour public skating sessions on an idiosyncratic schedule. Skate rentals are just over $2 and there is a snack bar.

Nearby: Orlando Paintball.
