This attraction honors the more than 7,000 peace officers who have died in the line of duty, each of their names carved in marble. More names are added each year. Surrounding the memorial hall are exhibits of police memorabilia. There are badges from across the country and police hats from around the world. One section highlights forensic methods, another features execution paraphernalia, while others display classic firearms and improvised weapons taken off bad guys. On a more whimsical note, there are movie props from Robocop and a police car used in Blade Runner. Helicopter rides ($25 to $153) take off just outside the front entrance and an attached gun range allows visitors to test their skills.
Nearby: Enchanted Forest, Kennedy Space Center, Warbirds Museum.
