Chamber of Magic at Skull Kingdom Prices: Adults $19.75, seniors (65+) & children (7 and under) $15.97, plus tax and tip You don’t have to brave the ghouls and goblins of Skull Kingdom (described in Chapter 11: Another Roadside Attraction) to enjoy this show, which has its own entrance at the back of the foreboding castle on I-Drive. And you don’t have to be afraid the kids will be freaked out by anything grisly; this show is all about fun. This show specializes in what’s known in the trade as “comedy magic.” That means you won’t see the elaborate apparatus used at the WonderWorks Magic Show (reviewed below); there are no beautiful assistants sawn in half; in fact, you may have to do without the beautiful assistant altogether, although the occasional magician who performs here has a lovely sidekick. What you will see can best be described as a magic show with some stand-up comedy thrown in. The blend varies from performer to performer, but more often than not it adds up to a funny and enjoyable show indeed. The magic is fun, too, consisting of small scale tricks that often seem to be going awry before they wind up amazing you. The space is intimate and just a wee bit spooky, but never mind, your sleight of hand host will soon put you at ease. All-you-can-eat pizza, half plain, half pepperoni is included in the admission, as is all-you-can-drink beer or soda. It’s far from gourmet, but it will do. Didn't find what you were looking for?
