Unlike Aquatica, Adventure Island is seasonal, which means it is closed during Tampa’s cooler months. It’s season runs from March to October, with limited openings in the early and late months of the season. After Labor Day, the park is typically open only on weekends.
The park has a devoted local following among school-aged teenagers and young adults. You might find the park less crowded on weekdays, when many of those in its prime target demographic are working, although I have found it busy on most days.
