Getting There
Adventure Island is located at 1001 Malcolm McKinley Drive, Tampa 33674, right across the street from Busch Gardens Africa, two miles west of I-75 and two miles east of I-275. If you are going directly to Adventure Island from Orlando, take I-4 to I-75 north. Take Exit 265 (Fowler Avenue) and head west a few miles to McKinley Drive. Turn left and get in the left-hand lane. Look for the entrance to Adventure Island on your left. It’s easy to miss if you’re not careful and haven’t remembered to get in the left-hand lane.
Opening and Closing
Times
Park hours vary with the calendar. At the beginning (March) and end (September and October) the park will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and usually only on weekends. As crowds grow and days lengthen during the warmer months, the weekend hours may extend from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The best way to know when the park will be open during your visit is to check the web site at the address given above.
