This cafeteria-style eatery serves up some of the best casual food in the park. Barbecue is the order of the day and the platters are sumptuous. Choose between baby back ribs (in whole or half racks), regular ribs, beef brisket, and smoked chicken. A Sampler Platter lets you try three of them. All platters come with fries and a dinner roll.
There’s a Latin entree, too, chicken with black beans and yellow rice. Sandwiches and wraps include smoked turkey and beef brisket. The kids meal here is barbecue chicken or ribs in a souvenir lunchbox. And what barbecue meal would be complete without a tall frosty beer, which is served here on tap, along with the usual soft drinks.
Another great reason to eat here is the location, right under SheiKra. Yes, you can eat inside in cool cave-like comfort, but a better choice is on the patio, which offers a terrific view of the coaster’s watery splashdown. And since SheiKra is almost eerily quiet you won’t be bothered by loud noises — except for the screams of the riders, of course, but that’s more fun than frightening.
