What: Cafeteria with outdoor seating
Where: In the central plaza as you enter the park
Price Range: $
This cafeteria has a number of lines and plenty of outdoor seating, about a third of it shaded under an overarching roof. Tables in the open air afford a great vantage point for people watching; everyone entering or leaving the park must pass by here.
Given the overall African theme, fajita wraps may be a somewhat inappropriate centerpiece for the menu, but I’ve heard no complaints. The chicken and steak version is recommended. There are sandwiches like grilled cheese and chicken strips and a “Classic Italian” with provalone cheese and salamis on foccacia bread.
Slightly more elaborate are burgers, including a bacon cheeseburger platter. Beer is on offer along with the usual soft drinks. The Safari Kids Meal here consists of a hot dog or chicken strips, with a choice of fries or fresh carrots.
Desserts are good, too, although you might prefer the larger selection across the way at Sultan’s Sweets.
