Busch Gardens Tampa hosts a growing number of razzle-dazzle themed events timed to the calendar. The oldest of these is an alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration for young people and families. Halloween shenanigans are in evidence during October. These are typically after-hours affairs that require a hefty separate admission (a recent Howl-O-Scream event was $78 plus tax). However, if you purchase your tickets in advance or have an annual pass, discounts are substantial.
From early June to mid-August (the exact dates differ each year), when the park is open to 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., Busch Gardens presents Summer Nights, a varied menu of outdoor entertainment at venues throughout the park. You might see a comic ventriloquist, an aerial act, juggling acts, or a DJ. Music festivals catering to country, oldies, and Latin demographics occur through the winter and spring.
During the Christmas season there are nightly tree lighting ceremonies and from fall through spring the park hosts a series of music festivals celebrating the country, oldies, and Latin genres.
