Getting There
Busch Gardens is roughly 75 miles from Universal Orlando, about 65 miles from the intersection of I-4 and US 192 in Kissimmee. You can drive there in about one and a quarter to one and a half hours depending on where you start and how closely you observe the posted speed limit.
Drive west on I-4 to Exit 7 (US 92 West, Hillsborough Avenue). Go about 1.5 miles and turn right on 56th Street (SR 583); go another two miles and turn right on Busch Boulevard. Busch Gardens is about two miles ahead on your right.
Shuttle Bus Service
If you’d rather not drive from Orlando, you can take advantage of the shuttle bus service that Busch (in association with Mears Transportation) operates from a lengthy list of hotels in the Orlando area. The roundtrip fare is $10 per person, but if you have a six-park FlexTicket the service is free. Buses depart between roughly 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with return journeys at 6:00 or 7:00 p.m., depending on the current closing hours at Busch Gardens Africa, which vary seasonally (see below). Be aware that there may be as many as three stops en route and that arrival time at Busch Gardens can be as late as 11:30 a.m.; so if you’d like to arrive bright and early, driving is your best option.
