Busch Gardens Africa - Land of the Dragons: Introduction

Sandwiched between Bird Gardens to the south and Stanleyville to the north, is a play area just for the preschool set. Other theme parks in Central Florida have similar kiddie areas but nowhere will you find the concept pulled off with as much wit and verve as the Land of the Dragons. Here, the clever design of Fievel’s Playland at Universal and the size of Shamu’s Happy Harbor at SeaWorld come together to create the only five-star kiddie attraction in this book.

There are animals to be seen here, too, of course. At one end are the iguanas, monitor lizards, and komodo dragon that give the area its name. At the other, in a separate circular area, is Lory Landing described below. But the emphasis is on fun in the Land of the Dragons and the little ones will not be disappointed.
