Sandwiched between
Bird Gardens to the south and Stanleyville to the north, is a
play area just for the preschool set. Other theme parks in Central
Florida have similar kiddie areas but nowhere will you find the
concept pulled off with as much wit and verve as the Land of the
Dragons. Here, the clever design of Fievels Playland at
Universal and the size of Shamus Happy Harbor at SeaWorld
come together to create the only five-star kiddie attraction in
this book.
There are animals to
be seen here, too, of course. At one end are the iguanas, monitor
lizards, and komodo dragon that give the area its name. At the
other, in a separate circular area, is Lory Landing described
below. But the emphasis is on fun in the Land of the Dragons and
the little ones will not be disappointed.
