Universal Orlando is open 365 days a year. In the slow seasons, the parks may open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. During the high season, the parks may open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. On-site hotel guests are granted "early park admission" into Islands of Adventure's Wizarding World of Harry Potter one hour prior to the "official" opening time. If you can't enter early you can stay late. Typically, the last visitors aren't shooed out until an hour or more after closing time.
As noted previously, opening and closing times can also be affected by special events. If the park will be closing early, there should be a large sign posted near the entrance gates informing you of this sad fact. You can also double-check today or tomorrow's official hours by calling (407) 363-8000.
Tip: Take your time leaving the parks at night unless you're absolutely exhausted (a strong possibility). Strolling slowly through these magical streets under a moonlit sky (either alone or with a special someone) is an unforgettable experience when you are among just a handful of people in the park.
